there can be a million answers to that ? it mainly has to do with the water you fish(water clarity, temp, structure,etc..) also it has to do with where you live. be more specific. i like lizards the most this time of year due to spawning.

Welcome to the forum!
Like bf02 said, that is a question with as many answers as there are fishermen. As far as I'm concerned, it depends on the water temp. Below 50 I like a jig-n-pig and a suspending jerkbait. 50-55, add a lipless crankbait. 55-60, soft plastics-C-rig, jerkbait, and spinnerbaits. above 60-take your pick. |

I agree with Rebbasser except for below 50, Â*course that may be a difference between south texas and missouri. Â*Bass here will hit some lipped cranks in mid-upper 40 degree water as well as slow rolled spinner baits and lipples crankbaits. Â*I go with jerk-baits, finesse worms, jig-n-pig, and both spinner baits and crankbaits when the water hits 46 degrees. Â*It really depends on the conditions...now and over the past 5 days.

seriously, the only bait that comes close to a miracle bait would have to be a 5 inch senko.maybe the fish will start to get used to them but thet do catch a disproportionate # of bass.
