Default Moving to Texas

Well boys, its official. I have been given the old pink slip and will be jobless as of 1 week from now. So the Wife and I are sticking to the plan to move to Texas where the economy is much better, and her family is around to help us take care of the kiddo. So sometime within the next month I will be packing up and heading to south Texas. So if any of you guys got tips on freshwater fishing down that way I am all ears. I know the Guadalupe River is a good place to kayak fish, and locally there is the Coletto Creek Cooling Resevoir. And I am only a 1.5 hour drive from Choke Canyon...

Sorry to hear about the job aviator. I hope south Texas is good to you guys, I am jealous of the fishing you are going to be living around though.

Admit it...you're just running from all the scary weather.

Seriously, it always sucks getting handed a pink slip. Sorry to hear it, man.

Good luck in burrito country, my friend.

Sorry to hear about the job walker. MY dad was jobless for a while, so I know it can be tough. Especially without family. I'll be prying for ya.

But I hope you enjoy Texas and get some pigs while you're there. You know where in Texas you're gonna be moving to?

Youll be close to the salt, great redfishing and trout fishing around... close to choke aswell. We'll have to get together and catch some pigs. Right in your backyard is some great fishing opportunities.

I hope Texas is good for you and your family pal. It must be a very tough period in your lives right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You might knock on Rebs door. He lives in Texas. Maybe he can give you some tidbits of info.

Well guys I may have a job.. only down side is that it is 1.5 hours away from her parents, meaning no free day care. So my bills would be at least $500 a month more if we go that route.
