And umm, well its supposed to be 7'6", and it is, but the thing is cabelas sent it to me with the butt of the pole pushed into the handle, so my question is, How the hell do i get the damn thing out? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I hope its a telescopic rod where the rod retracts in the butt section, which would allow you to pull it in place manually (by hand but you can't get away with saying that on this forum without getting picked on ;D) P N J

Re: damn rod packaging thing
Imege8, I looked it up and it is a retractable rod blank. It suposed to be like that for easier handling until you are ready to fish.Pull the blank out and align the guides up with your reel seat. I never took notice on the weight rating of G-Loomis before. That is rated for a 1/4 -1 oz. but is a heavy action. It seems to be a contradiction or typing error on the ad. The weight reflects a MH action which in my opinion is better than a Heavy action tip for flipping .Let me know how you like it.Its good to see more people buying flippin sticks. P N J

Welcome to the forum, imege8!
Nothing wrong with the rod-a flipping stick is designed that way so it will fit in the rod box of a bass boat. |
