Hey, I'm curious, whats your oddest or most unique must have when you go fishing?..... Maybe it's a lucky coin or wife, girlfriend or someone elses wife, girlfriend. If you have more than one great lets hear about it. Maybe its just a special meal. Lets have some fun!

I must always have my fingernail clippers with me when I fish, I feel naked without them hanging around my neck.

I also try to visualize what my lure doing down there, and pretend there's a big ol bass down there looking at, waiting for me to move my worm just right!

I fish with a towel hanging out of my left front pocket. I wipe my hands a lot when I fish and I definitely feel naked when it's not there.

+1 on the clippers and I never take the boat off the trailer unless I've got my hook hone and a camera and some bottled water and a Snickers bar and an apple and a first aid kit and some marker buoys and sunglasses and a ball cap and some sun screen and some needle noses and for luck my pet Otter -

Gosh John, I thought for sure it would be your METRIC RULER. Objects on the Metric appear larger than they actually are. My most unique "must have" is the object I don't have when I need it and start looking for it. Last edited by bassboogieman; 09-28-11 at 10:48 PM. |

Sorry I quess I should share mine, I have to have my fish towel and my teather on my side with yes a clippers plus eye punch, hook honer, small knife. And I hate to continue our direction here but ever since I read about theses guys using 12 and 14 inch plastic worms and having sucess, I can assure you my pants will always be on when in the water!

I can't have anything in my pockets when I'm in the boat, something about feeling stuff in my pockets when I'm fishing drives me crazy. Never leave the dock without toilet paper either, one of the absolute worst things to need and not have.

Joe got me hooked on the towel thing..Now I have to have one clipped to my back belt loop always...I keep two in the car...Very handy, especially on the bank. Next is nail clippers on a zip line hooked on my belt....Like Batman.

Nothing really weird, but every night before a tournament I have to go eat somewhere... Now whether thats a steakhouse or fast food depends on how confident I am lol.

I recently lost my favorite burnt orange ball cap. It wasn't anything special. In fact it was a free hat from a door supplier, but it fit perfectly. I think my girlfriend might have secretly thrown it out; she said it was a filthy, tattered, worn-out, embarrassment and she was ashamed to be seen in public with me wearing it. I thought it had character. I got a new mustard yellow hat I'm working on breaking it. |

Damn boys, where's the Slim Jims? Or Jack Links jerky--even if your not messing with sasquatch!! I gotta have a knife clipped in my right front pocket--Kershaw Leek my favorite. I dont carry a hook honer on me--it's in my pack--in an otter skin pouch! |
