Spinning reel for dropshotting

My fishing buddy is looking for a new spinning reel this off-season, and he'll be using it exclusively for dropshotting next year. He is currently looking at a couple of Shimano reels -- the Symetre and the Saros. Can any of you offer any insight as to what, if anything, makes the Saros worth the $30 price bump over the Symetre? I really like the Symetres I have, but I've never used a Saros before. Any other brands in the $100-$130 price range that you'd recommend he take a look at? We both live just a couple miles from a Cabela's, and we tend to get all sorts of money-saving coupons from them during the winter, so it's pretty likely he'll end up buying a brand they sell.
