Welcome to a great site. To answer your question, there is a guy on here that has a secert lure that he swears by. But you got to understand this guy is not normal. Here he is hawking his secret lure. Really I think it will be an old bait reborn.

Good one Ron, haha. If I had to take a wild guess, I would bet the soft stick baits like the Senko will be the top sellers. But the Strike King crankbaits and lipless cranks are going to be hot again. I'd love to know the actual sales results at the end of each year in a complete breakdown by lure type just to see what people are trending with.

Alpha Jig. After the Alamama Rig craze my quess is it will be a year or so before something hits as big. I'll tell you how crazy this fad is. I was watching Big Bass Battle and 6 Lake Fork guides were competing. One guide pulled out a Alabama Rig and pulled in 3 Whites or Stripers. Now if anyone has ever come accross a school of Stripers feeding you know what a site that is. They are extermely competative and agressive. Perfect Alabama conditions. Now the good part. The guide went on to say that the best time to throw Alabama Rigs is when you have kids or newbies because they love catching alot of fish. Now can you imagine an 11, 12 year old tossing an Alabama for an hour or so and then saying, 'Boy, lets do this again all day tomorrow.' between untangling the rig half the day and tossing the rest he's/she's more apt to stay home and cut the LAWN! Better yet, imagine trying to convince your signifacant other who may not be a diehard fishing person how much fun throwing this hardware all day is going to be. Might as well start them MUSKY fishing. (which is a great time but maybe not the place to start) Oh and a Lake Fork Flutter Spoon caught the big bass. An OLD tried and true staple of anyone's tackle box that fishes Lake Fork in Fall and Winter.
