Spinning Reel question
Since the market is glutted at the 50 dollar price point, which reel do you like best? Getting a new D/S reel and I'm not going to spend a pile on it. Thanks!

As far as spinning reels I have always went with shimanos. I know a lot of guys dont care for them but I havent had a single problem with any of my shimano reels. I have a few pretty old ones to.
But all in all I think that really any of the big manufacturers offer great options for reels. I guess just find one at your price point and read a few reviews. |

Whatever 2500 sized shimano model is at that price point. 'nuff said. Fortunately $50 buys a decent amount of performance for spinning reels.

I used the Pflueger President for years, a solid spinning reel. It is $10 above you price point, but I think well worth it.

Plfueger makes some of best lower end spinning reels. I had a Supreme for a couple years and it was a great reel for the price. The President is also a good reel for the price. You might be able to find the older, gold/yellow version of the Supreme XT on eBay for just a bit more than the president. I think it'd be well worth it if you can.
I've never been a big fan of Shimano's lower end spinning reels, but many people love them. I love Daiwa's higher end stuff, but don't have experience with the lower end of their spinning line up. Abu also makes some good lower end spinning reels. I've had a few Cardinal reels throughout the years that have done well for me. BB

I would have recommended the Pflueger Supreme, but 40 bucks for the Exceler is a steal.
I had an Exceler a couple years ago and I'd pick up another for that price
