Default Nothing to brag about...

Other than being able to get on the water this week. I have been doing some fishing but no catching. I got a boat on a loaner from a buddy who was injured about 2 years ago. He wants to sale the boat, but is on the fence. But he told me to take it while I have been home. And he said when come back in April he will have his Regis famous finalizing answer. But it is an Alumacraft Pro 175 with a Yamaha 50 and a #40 Minn Kota. I got out with Flea and Carson Monday and the fought the wind for 12 rounds and fished between that. I just wanted to run the boat a little though. Fished about 6 hours Wed for 4 bites and nothing to lip in another huge wind. Took Dylan and Tanner out today for about 3 hours for more wind battle. At least I got to fish but these 20 mph are shutting me down hard and hurting my feelings hahahahaha.

Well I bet it just feels good to be getting back out on the water. I've only been casting off shore a couple times. No takers yet, though total ice out was only a few days ago. It's still bone chilling cold water in the mid to upper 30's. Needs a few sunny days. That sounds like a decent boat though. Have any pics?

I'm excited for you man. I sure hope things work out and you get to buy the boat.

I have been very busy building rods here lately and just not getting on the water. Plus with deer season and taking the boys hunting, I feel out of shape on the water. But it sure does feel awesome to be able to snatch the seat off the front deck and stand on the trolling motor and fish like I want to. It obviously isn't working, but Stella will get his grove back soon...I hope...here is a pic of the boat

And on another note, seems a majority of the fish in Waller and Lake Columbia spawned around the full moon in Jan according to my state lake guru. He said the bank was covered with fish and no one was there. We usually get a surge of coonies from Cajun Land around Mardi Gras, but looks like they will have to wait until next year...YES!!!

That boat is perfect for the lakes around you with all those stumps! I wouldn't worry about not catching much, I'm not convinced there are any bass in Bill Waller.
