Anybody use the Abu Orra SX baitcaster? I've been eyeing it for a while.

The Orra has a bad reputation for the anti-reverse gear going bad, if you purchase one take it out of the box and look at the sticker on the reel foot, it should be model 1901 or later, the problem existed in the original model 1900.

Good advice right there. I'd personally opt for a BPS pro qualifier, or Lews Speed Spool, but I think the orra will treat you well. I've fiddled with them in stores though, and have been pleased with what I've felt!

I have one that I've had for about a season. I like it almost as much as my PQ. I got it on sale and I had a gift card for gander mtn. I use mine for pitching. No complaints.

				 | I don't, this information about the anti-reverse came from another site, the member there had problems with the anti-reverse and wrote to Abu to ask about the issue. They emailed him back with information that I posted.

Does anyone else think there's a subliminal marketing effort with a name like "Orra SX" |
