				 | Jerking out treble hooks-KVD (video)

KVD buried some treble hooks in his camera man. With Gary Kleins help and braided line they remove the hooks from his arm. http://www.majorleaguefishing.com/news_details.aspx?id=999

Ouch is right! I was fishing alone once, caught a rainbow at dusk. Messing around, not paying attention the rainbow made the famous last ditch effort to let you know he's/she's pissed about the recent turn of events. Anyways buried a treble on a Rattlin Rapala DEEP. Got to walk in clinic and no lie....the Nurse took a cord and WAP....all done. I was amazed. Oh before she took it out she asked me 'how important is that lure to you', ....hey I was alone and it was hard enough getting my gear bag three poles and carrying them quarter mile to car....and then load the crap. Ya, the lure was still hanging in my hand. She didn't know if she could cut the treble off or would I be angry about it.. What a sweet lady!

Ouch.... that definitely didn't feel good. I really felt that when he pulled the second one and it didn't come out.

Oooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That made me squirm like a worm. I don't like needles, but man I hate hooks! lol That whole hooking the camera man sure did seem to take Kevin off his game. Myself, I think I'd rather head to the ER.

I've had trebles past the barb in my fingers/palm three times and used the push and snatch method with excellent results. Never happened until I turned 50, could it be that my cat like reflexes and lightening speed aren't as sharp as they used to be . Ironically all three were frisky little 14-16" fish instead of chunks.

Much better than the "medical" approach of pushing it through, cutting off the point and barb and then pulling it back out. | |
