$299.99 for a swimbait? Is that what they really retail for? I understand it's coming out of Japan and made in CA, but wow....that's unreal That's a darn nice reel or a good combo set up for the price of one bait! |

Dang, you better fish that with 150# braid, lol. However, a person that buys that is probably someone rich enough that it wouldn't faze him or her.

That's actually one of the moderately priced ones. 3:16 has a cult like following. I think they only release very small numbers of baits at a time. I've seen them go for over $800 on Ebay. People actually fish with them too.

When they are released they normally sell out in a matter of minutes.

Very true about them being limited in quantity and the cult following. I have a buddy I have mentioned before that has a few of them. He has paid for 200 for them to turn around and send it off to have a $100 paint job put on it. But all he has is swim baits. If you took what the average bait slinger has compared to the die hard SB lobber has, it probably runs even.

Some of those guys are just die hard with their swimbaits. I have read stories where a guy has scuba gear and gone to get his favorite (and exspensive) swimbaits if they break off. They are searching for the giants.
