Nothing is worse than the Dew! Soda leaches calcium from the enamel on your teeth, leaving behind a lattice that is a perfect breeding ground for tooth decay(sugar, bacteria, settle in the holes). You know you drink too much soda if you have white calcium deposits just below your gum line, and that is where tour teeth will rot out.

This used to not be a problem, as our water in the U.S. is fluoridated, which more than undoes the damage of drinking a few sodas during the day.
Fluoride in toothpaste also repairs damaged enamel. Unfortunately, too many people drink soda all day long, and if they drink water at all, it's usually bottled. Many bottled waters do not contain fluoride. Not good for the teeth. Summary: drink well water, municipal tap, or good bottled water, and brush often, and you should be able to drink all of the soda you like (preferably diet).

And if fluoride didn't help repair tooth enamel, why the heck do you suppose we've been putting it in municipal water for 70 years? You may not have a very good understanding of the de-mineralization/re-mineralization process, so I'm not going to argue it with you. And no, diet soda is not "like good bottled water". I was merely saying that all that sugar isn't good for you.

Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really pissed. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!" The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Bob has been missing since Friday. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>> Chuck Norris was born in a log cabin he built. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>> "http://www.cmt.com/videos/joey-rory/...headache.jhtml"

I thought I read a while ago that flouride was bad for you. I posted this for you to make up your own mind. What I heard before was flouride contains aluminum. I don't want to step on anyone's beliefs.

Bob, I find this article very intriguing.
If I didn't do anything or eat anything that I WASN'T suppose to or it MAY cause me some DANGER in the future..... I'd have to 'Sit HOME and STARVE! If your not living on the edge.........YOUR TAKING UP TOO MUCH ROOM! Just for information sake, my mother whom was a nurse used to have a little brown medicine bottle with a little 'dropper-tube' in it. At supper time she would make it around the table and put one drop in every kids milk. Obviously after the water in town got fluoridated this little daily event ended. And a funny to add. These drops were blue in color. So I remember one of the brothers asking her, "Why don't they just put ocean water in the pipes and we drink that?" Some communities FOUGHT hard to keep the stuff out of their water, LaCrosse being one of them. Two major clinics and hospitals, three colleges and 3000 lawyers, ALL in a town of like 30,000 people. Surprised they ever agreed on anything. Oh forgot, we had 300+ BARS on one street and a neighborhood Bar probably every 12 blocks. Alcohol, the great equalizer. So bottom line, it maybe BAD for me but it certainly brought back some real GOOD and HEALTHY memories! Bob, thanks.

I'm not sure that's what your dentist had in mind...but hey, at that point, who needs a second opinion?

I remember one time listening to fitness guru Jack LaLane who was asked if milk was good for you...he replied, only if you're a sucking cow. So he was an advocate for not drinking milk, but he took fist fulls of vitamin and mineral pills, calcium being one I presume. I suppose a daily vitamin is a good thing unless we have a perfect diet (and who does?).
But I'm not really sure if additives and supplements are always necessary and I'm equally unsure that I want the government putting 'stuff' in our water. I'm not sure what we might do when we drink the koolaid.

Regarding milk..............
Instead, people who are lactose intolerant can't digest the main sugar —lactose— found in milk. In normal humans, the enzyme that does so —lactase— stops being produced when the person is between two and five years old. The undigested sugars end up in the colon, where they begin to ferment, producing gas that can cause cramping, bloating, nausea, flatulence and diarrhea. This is an excerpt from an online health site but something Mr. Lalane knew a long time ago. Ever wonder why some people seem to fart non stop? Well wonder no more.

At least sugar fermentation only produces C02, an odorless gas. While it may make you fart more, it will at least "dilute" the hydrogen sulfide, the real culprit in most olfactory offenses.
