Absolutely. We're pretty far inland here but even so tomorrow's forcast is for sustained winds @ 18-20 gusting to 25+. Even though small craft adv's are out I feel compelled to fish a local lake where for years a strong steady wind seems to magically pull some really outsized fish up to the windy shorelines, breaks and weedlines where they are usually suckers for spinnerbaits and cranks.

We had our worst snow of last year at Halloween. We could get snow again, depentant upon how these storms come together. Calling for 6 - 10 " of rain on Monday. Went fishing today, next week will be a bust. Actually I went to see if I could find the rod I dropped overboard a few weeks ago. Lake is being drained down to do some bass habitat work this winter, it's now down about 7'. Had no luck with finding it but did catch my biggest pure strain muskie to date - only 32" but it was fun in the kayak. No pictures, I didn't take a camera as I really wasn't planning of fishing. Just a little fringe benifit, but I do have a witness to the catch.

I'm far enough inland that the hurrricane won't affect us much, but I'm a little (OK, a lot) concerned about the Arctic system that's about to hit us. A bunch of the guys on the RoughFish forum said Minnesota got pounded senseless a few days ago and it's headed directly toward me.

Had my milk, tp, and pop tarts so I was ready!!!! A lot of wind and rain. Very little damage here.

And I'd be on the porch with a rod rigged up.....(but pic was faked )
