Holy cow! Nice fish, man! Loved the video, too. That 7 pounder would eat what I call good-sized bass for a snack!

those are a pair of beauties. big bass are a different creature than the smaller bass. you really have to spend some time to find those prime little places that the big ones like. here are a few of the things that i have found that are a requirement to consistently catch big bass from a spot. has the best cover in the area, quick access to deep water, and of course a consistent food source. the big ones just wait for the meal to come by most of the time. great job of finding one of those special spots.

			awesum fish!

I'm curious, do you use GPS to return to the spot? I know re-locating a spot off-shore can be problematic.

Im guessing after a long time of going to it,using gps and sonar, more or less can get right on it,visual and feel as a backup.

Here on ky lake it might be a flat or hump a mile from shore. The sweet spot could be a creek channel in it or say a ramp going down to deep water,or a point or cutout. And the sweet spot tends to change with weather ,water level and time of year.So a lot is in just in going there umpteen times. |
