grass shrimp and domestic shiners (wild shiners are typically too big for most stripers).

There's a couple old timers I know who fish lake george every weekend, and can fill a cooler in a couple hours of fishing. The 2 baits they use exclusively are domestic and grass shrimp. Stripers mouths tend to be too small for the Wild Shiners at least down here. I don't know if its because the shiners down here are bigger 10-14 inches, or the stripers are smaller, don't really know, but Leo has told me before, whenever using Wilds, the bite is slow.
