Default tides & bass

i'm relatively new to fishing period. i am beginning to becomed quite addicted to the blackbass though. question is: what is the correlation to bass and the tides? i fish out of the sloughs in the norcal deltas and it seems that the bass tend to bite more when the tide is pretty well at the lowest. does this make sense or should i not have that cocktail before i go out?

I personaly dont pay attention to things like that cause the more situations you fish the more you learn I think. But there are some that pay attention to these kinda things and maybe they can help ya.
