				 | Sharks caught in Medina Lake, TX

Get this...290 miles from the Texas coast in Medina Lake, two sharks have been caught on two consecutive days by two different fishermen. The sharks are Atlantic sharpnose sharks and the two measured 37 and 42 inches. I tried to get a link posted, but my browser won't do it. You can go to www.woai.com and the story is on the front page. Ready to go shark fishing Reb??

Might be interesting to find out . I've fished that lake a couple of times and got certified in scuba there, too.

Well I am just happy to see that SOMETHING is being caught at Medina...even if it is sharks. That is one hard lake to figure out. Anything good to see underwater at Medina? Obviously the marine life is diversifying...

OK someone brought them in form the Ocean I can live with that. But how the heck do they keep living in freshwater? I was pretty sure that freshwater would kill them, but obviusly I was wrong. Any ideas on how they continued to live? I know fish can adapt to the mix, but this wasn't a mix it was fresh water. And if they caught 2 in 2 days, wonder if they are the only ones. Probably dumped in there at the same time. IL, another good one! Lizards
