				 | First Hawg Ever!

Went out fishing for the first time in a long time Saturday morning. Took the canoe into some back woods of a lake. Fishing a 3/4 ounce black buzzbait, around a pond full of stumps. Couldn't get anywhere without hitting a stump. Perfect hang out for some bass. Just chillin. And a fish rolled on it. Thought nothing of it. Set the hook. Was bringing it in. Didn't get a good look at it, thought it was a 3lbr. When I got it next to the canoe, and it opened its mouth. And it took a fist to get it off the hook. Had to weigh at least 6lbs. I about crapped my pants. I am so glad that I broke my 3# fish streak. It was a great morning. Later Guys, Travis |

I caught my biggest hawg this year as well. It was 5lb 3oz my old hawg was 5lbs flat. Before I caught my 5lb 3oz bass my dad caught a 5lb 8oz. So after that I decided to downsize and then I caught a 12in bass. Next cast I caught 5lb 3oz bass. Remember fish are from NY

Sounds like that bass hooked you more than you hooked it.
