Per that site...thats a lot of money. I refuse to crunch the numbers myself because theres always 50 ways to do it and you can mislead anyone by the numbers, but nobody would argue that this war hasn't been expensive.

Regarding both presidents Bush and Clinton, we are paying indeed for the decisions these two men made...and paying a great deal on top of that for the decisions made by any number of washington politicians, beaurocrats, lobbyists, local do-gooders and porkers and people who never were paying attention long enough to hear the phrase there is no such thing as a free lunch.

It's not that simple. No president is perfect and Bush can't be excused from his errors by blaming someone else. He has single-handedly put this country into a fiscal hell which will be extremely difficult for us to extract ourselves from. And that's just one screwup.

Amen Tom. Politics tend to bring out opinions, some are based on fact, others are based on whatever local rag they read for info.. Others are based on sound research, schooling, etc. Bottom line, you are going to believe what you want and you are going to interpret info how you feel it should be. Either way arguments and hurt feelings end up prevailing. Lets all fish and let the politicians screw up what they will....on both sides of the coin. DEMS, Repub. all have one thing in common... They are all politicians.

Me an Polly thank we may have cause sum animalmosity between sum of our fishen friends and buddys on this post. When we seen how much of our money tha Goverment wuz spenden over there in Bagdaddy and them othur Arab cuntries luken fur them big guns of massterly distructshun, we thought we would pass it on so all you could see how much of our tax money is being wasted too. But Elmer sade it turned into a polytickel warfare in this close knit fishen cumunity... Now me and Polly nevur wuz ones fur being polytickel correct on thangs we dont believe in..Now, honest we are, and we dont claim to know evur thang about polyticks, but we do know tha polytickshuns have a way of turning a lie around and making it sound like a truth, and getten people up set, especially those that have a hair triggered temper. They aint gonna do Me and Polly that way cuz we are gonna do what we thank is rite and not what some polytickshun says is rite, and were gonna remain nonpolytickshul....Jest found out this mornen what polytick means. We called Becky and she helped us out on this thang, and gave us a clear undurstanding of it.. She broke it down into 2 wurds. She sade tha first part "POLY" meaning "MANY". Now thats purty simple. And the othur wurd is "TICKS" Meaning blood sucking parasites. Now that wurd is down home fur me and Polly, cuz sometimes our rabbits and coon dogs get them big ole fat ticks on there ears....Come to think about it, and I'm not being polytickel correct, nor do i wonna be, but have you ever noticed that Mr. Ted Kennedy man? Polly says he looks like one...Enyway, Becky put tha two wurds togather "Polyticks" Now she put that in a big ole nut shell and sade it means "GUVERNMENT" which means, there is alot of blood sucking parasites in Wushington, RUINING our Country...Now you can go back to tha begenning of this thread and watch tha blood being sucked rite out of our lives and our Childrens and Grand childrens lives...Me and Polly are surviving well, but some of our TROOPS over there in Bagdadd Iraque and them Arab places are not surviveing.
