Fished my club tourney today(2-11-06) at Lake Sonoma, California. Air temps got into the low seventies with a slight breeze Lake Sonoma is a deep lake for up in this area. Visualy is a 1 of the best looking lakes up here. Water had less than a ft of vis and we fished on average 20 ft deep(as shallow as 1ft deep 50ft). When we started out in the mornin water temp was around 53 and warmed up to 58. Youd think fish would chew all day but only got 2 bites for the day. I found 1 rock in about 6-7 ft. Tossed a t-rigged(with brass) trick worm(ghost baits) on the rock and deadsticked with only small movements. Felt a weight and set on it....a 2.32. Tossed her in the well and threw back in to same spot. Once again but heavier weight. Slammed this one and she went to deep water. I played her for a minute or so...Partner grabbed the net and low and behold a 4.24. I came in mid-field for 2 fish. Wasnt a bad day. Sure as hell can beat the weather in Febuary!!!(Sorry for all those in the snow).

Going Tuesday to Lake Berryessa for smallies
