Well, went out with my next door neighbor for a couple of hours-real windy, so we went upwind and drifted back along a rock bank throwing crankbaits. Caught four and missed one on a wacky rig. Decided to try a suspending jerkbait. Bent over to pick that rod up just at the same time a boat wake rocked the boat and ran one tine of a real sharp treble hook into my right index finger up to the bend in the hook. We are talking deep here. So, cut the split ring to get the hook off the lure and after a couple of unsuccessful attempts to remove the hook headed in. The doc numbed the finger up and had to use a scalpel to get the hook out. She thought it was so hard to get out because it went in to the bone. Ouch! Not a fun way to end a fishing trip, but it beat not going
