Default One of the WORST so far

Last thursday we had a VERY severe short Cold front come through and shut the fishing down everywhere around here. Crappie, catfish.bass, you name it . Got there mouths locked up tighter than dicks hatband. Thursday I was fishing in the afternoon when the wffects started and watched as the water temp dropped 4 degree's in 3 hours. A quick question............ What do some of you do when the cold front is that severe besides staying home??

I hear ya buddy. I always slow way down and work the heaviest cover available as well. Most of the time I can work up a bass or 2 sometimes not.

Pray for a starving bass LOL. Pretty much what you already do. I will say flukes are one of my best baits in cold. that is if I'm not fishing a tourney, and the guy driving the boat is flying around. Dead sticking them or even short twtiches with long pauses have been the key for me. I know you know the drill, they won't pound it, just pick it up, so when you feel that dead weight set the hook. I honestly think folks don't fish flukes enough. Not much better than a wounded or fleeing baitfish.

I usually grab my shotgun and go looking for gobblers.
