| BassFishin.Com Super Veteran | Very Bad Day Fishing!

I had the worse day I could ever have! first off I had a big bass on, and he came unhooked, and i couldnt get him to bite again!, then I had another fish on, and broke my line, with my last booyah jig! then i lose my favorite spinnerbait, and then i get my buzzbait hung up in the tree, and lose it, and then i lost another spinnerbait, and then a guy in a boat caught a 6 pound bass right infront of me where i was fishing, so i just threw my rods, and quit.

Ratl, we all go through that sometimes. I would get so pissed that I'd want to throw my rods in the lake but with my luck and being in a float tube, I would probably miss the lake. Just hang in there.

Ratl, don't let the bad stuff "rattle" you. I have some bad starts but eventually salvage the day and catch some good fish. Over the weekend, I was rowing and broke an oar. I was stuck on the other side of the lake and had to row back against the wind with one oar. Before doing so, I fished the spot where I was at and managed to catch a few. Because I caught some, I feel that I was able to salvage the outing. |

Yeah, I dont have a boat, and I have to walk in high weeds, with lots of snakes, and im scared to death of snakes haha. If i had a nice bass boat it would be so much easier! probably would have a better time too. Well I think ill head out again later this evening, and try to make up for it.

I feel ya on the weeds. The places I go are seriously infested with ticks. I've run through a couple of nests. I've had literally hundreds of ticks on me at once. The things we do. I can only dream of the day I own a boat.

Trap, see your previous posts. Days like that keep you coming back after days like you had today. Been there, done that many times and will probably have it happen to me again.

hey dude, there's nothing wrong with a rowboat to start.up here in n.y. if you want to fish the n.y.c. reservoirs you can only use a rowboat.these reservoirs contain some of the best fishing in the state.it beats the snot out of shore fishing and you can get a decent used rowboat for $400.

We've used the same rowboat for 20 years at one lake....it sometimes gets to my shoulders on windy days but a lot of fun and good excersise...i get tired of anchoring on windy days and then moving around alot, but its worth it to get out and fish the reeds on this place.

Trap you've been posting pics like crazy, and catching some really nice Bass, and then you had a bad day. At least you can still fish, and aren't laying in a Hospital somewhere. Just remember you couldn't even fish a couple months ago because of the ice, now at least you can give it a go. Lizards

Everybody has those days unfortunately, I just had one yesterday as a matter of fact. I had what looked to be about a 2-3 pounder on and as soon as I got him close to the bank he jumped off, but like they say...that's why they call it fishin, and not catchin'...lol

went fishing the other day, and pulled into the boat ramp to park, and the timing belt on my car broke, thirty miles from home and fishing gear in the car that is worth more than the car. i said "rats". someone came along, got a ride home, called a tow truck and by evening i had the car home. i didnt get to fish, but, my stuff was not stolen. that would have p.o.'d me more. how was your day?

I was gonna say it coulda been worse, but losing your favorite spinner and last jig, it can't get too much worse than that could it?
