Default I need help fixing...

I have to much money invested in these cranks to just chuck them. I replace and sharpen hooks but its beyond that now. The swimming action is all jacked up. they wont swim right or should I say straight. scared to bend the eye to far and really not sure which way to bend it anyway. also any sugestions on fixing the paint jobs?

well looky what the cat yakked up... the paint jobs are a giveme use them. most people don't repaint them if you do you will get a "not good" result. i send ALL my repaint work to carolina chip. but it is costly $11 per bait..

Often times crankbaits become un-tunable. Have had some that after a while of using these baits and retuning these baits by bending the eyelets, they are constantly out of tune due to the eyelets becoming weak in the plastic.

If you hit items alot then they can get out of tune.

well you know me all to well...I hit pretty much everything. I cast in some of the most impossible places. No guts no glory but I sometimes wonder if the fish hold in those trees I get stuck in. Question: if the bait swims left I bend the eye right? right? another question does Cchip give a military discount? lol really It would be cheaper to order a new one.

That is correct. Just remember that right and left pertain to how you see things from the end of your rod. That is, you see the bait swimming left, but it's actually swimming to the bait's right.

For years I used pliers to bend the line tie, but this year I bought a few tuning keys from BPS, but I haven't needed to use them yet.

check your tackle box first and see if you acquired a pair of rapala pliers. If you do have a pair, check to see if you can idenitify a set of grooves on it. One of those grooves was designed for tuning crank baits.

It will save you the cost of buying something you might already have. Good luck!
