Default Sam Rayburn or Sam Sunburn

The mighty sam rayburn was our destination this past weekend. Bassintxlady and I hit the ramp around 730 am on Saturday the 27th. That sure is one purdy lake. We did some light research before going, but really had no plan as to where we would go first, well, that was a lesson learned. We fished "here and there" and tried all kinds of lures that we use on our home town waters, but had very little success. As I usually do when the fishing is slow, I started talking to the fishin gods and cursing the sport in general, it was a big disappointment to me and I'm thinking I may have ruined it some for my partner, but she (being a trooper) just laffed off my sinical jokes and kept fishing. We got five fish in the boat in just about 12 hours of fishing. I had me a hat but frustration led me to toss it off about 4 in the afternoon and thats all that was needed for me to get me to get my forehead baked real good. The moral of this story is, keep your hat on, and if you're going to some place you never have been before, you had better do you're homework and know where to start before you get there, unless you know how to find them like the pro's. Think I'll go watch my IKE RULES video one more time. Later

I would be angry at myself. I would have to keep going back, until I improved my catch to a 20-30 fish day.If that means sleeping on the boat at the launch nights while fishing on the lake all day, so be it.At least you had the right fishing partner to camp out on the flipping deck at night with, my wife won't allow me to have a female fishing partner.I think she checks up on me as it is, always asks what lake I am going to fish and then gives me the 20 question treatment when I finally get home ?
