What color and size senkos do you guys do best with? Also, this is the first time I have used them which way do you think is best c-rig, t-rig, wacky. As always thanks for the help in advance.

T-rig work's best for me. I would get pumpkinseed 5" wave worm's.

i usually do my best with 4 inch senkos..there is no "best" presentation...different situations means different presentations...i carolina rig when fish are deep, t-rig when fish are active and there is alot of cover, and wacky rig when fish are inactive (such as the colder months)...

Color depends on the color of water your dealing with. clearer the water the brighter the senko, darker or muddy the water the darker the senko cause it will create a shadow the fish will follow (tip) scent your senko in muddy water so the fish can find and locate it faster. the rigging depends on how good you can present the bait to the fish! there is no best way just your way. try it all ways and come up with what works for you best.

Yes .

I throw them t-rigged weightless or wacky 99% of the time, and every now and then on a C-rig. This type bait is designed to be fished weightless.

i like 5" weightless or wacky rig... My first "go to" color is watermelon with black flakes. If that doesn't produce, I start trying other colors. Hope this helps and good luck to you.

the best color is the one that is working..other than that there anit no such animal..(deja vu all over again).it is simply a matter of which one, or for that matter which bait is one's confidence bait..

I have never c rigged a senko, because they sink, and a c-rig is designed to let your bait float up off the bottom most of nthe time. I have always thought that this would be a weird way of rigging a sinking bait
As to colors, they are a bit expensive, so byuy them in the color of your most productice plastics. I like cinnamon brown, but you may get skunked on that color. Im not going to say "best" but red shad, in any plastic seems to proiduce everywhere I fish. Black works great in muddy waters for me too.

i think your confused with a dropshot rig where the bait is suspended..ive always understood carolina rig to be a deep water technique...

I strongly suspect that Senkos are more effective outside Florida for some reason. It's certainly been my experience and the experience of my bass-type friends. I'd suspect some connection with water temps or fishing pressures may weigh into this theory. Anyone else willing to field this theory????

It is, but the weight is separated from the bait for two reasons, for a more natural approach, and to let the bait float up to a certain depth, the depth according to the leader. Thats what I was taught it was for, and Thats why I use trick worms, with great success.

Va, drop a trickworm in the water. It sinks. All soft plastics do, unless it is something like a 3X bait or one that is designed to float like the old Riverside Air Series or a Devil's Tongue. I understand what you mean, though .

Yeah you're actually right, looks like I didn't do my homework on this one., but thats what I was taught. I thought it was like a flounder rig, where the bait can float up off the bottom. But I guess I was wrong...........

only time i use a weight is after turnover,i'll use an arkie jig head with half of a red shad senko on dropoffs into about 25 ft of water.otherwise..weightless.
