				 | Stren High Impact Line?

Does anybody know much about this line? It is much cheaper than most others. It is mono and the only thing I have found so far is that it falls under saltwater line on the stren website. I have bought a couple of spools and love it. Does anyone know of any reason not to use this line for bass fishing?

Welcome to the site UK! I personally do not like Stren at all, and am not familiar with it, so my opinion isn't worth much, but I see no reason why any light mono could not be used for bass.

your right the stren high impact is europes verison of stren extra tough..basicly the same line as stren extra tough. how ever it is made from differant material then extra tough. salt water line tends to be thinner per pound test..this will effect crankbaits.. umm 6-8 kilo-12 to14 pound-test would be the idea size.. the thicker the nastier the weeds you fish the the higher the test line you will need.. i use ande with no problems.. fl no real suprise that there is bass in the uk.. zooker

uk, the Stren High Impact line is the only line I use for crankbaits. I like the low stretch and it is very tough indeed. I use the lo-vis green because I feel that color of the line makes it almost invisible at any depth.

I have used Stren for years, Quit using it this year because Pure fishing bought Stren. They also own Berkely, spiderwire. I would bet that they will F*** it up as they do everything else they get their hands on.Lmao..... I loved Trilene XT line until they kept F***ing switching the formula trying to make it better. There was nothing wrong with it before they started messing it up.I will not tolerate line failure.
