It has mostly cork, but a little bit of something else in the handle (look in the pic.). It bit me a while back, and I bought a new setup, and 42$ worth of plastics.

I felt one at the store, and it felt awesome, I'm wondering though, if it would absorb any shock, therefore lessening the sensitivity? Although, I guess you would feel it near the trigger.

I do the same thing with baitcaster, running the line between my thumb, and pointer finger. I dont use braid on a baitcaster, or else I would be in pieces......

yeah as pnj said it is the procaster 100h the 6.3:1 geared reel very smooth very reliable reel for about $60 bucks thou the design is old school and has a flat top..i prefure the old flat top style better than the new style team diawa z configuration.. this style fits better into my big hand than others.. zooker

All that money and no time to fish. Hopefully the bait monkey don't get greedy. You'll be working OT to pay him down. Oh wait that's what I do.
