2nd place---Thanks
Ok guys and gals thanks alot for some of your input. My son did not win the Tx State Jr Bassmaster tour but did get a 2nd place. On lake Stillhouse the conditions were low clouds very dark and a lite breeze, we had decided the nite before we needed big fish to win. He likes to throw top water and did just that. We put a vixen on and started chunking. We had 5 fish but only 1 keeper by 7:50am. We moved to an outside bend along the river channel in 15ft of water. He could only put 2 more in the boat to end up with 9.88lbs. This was his last time to compete in the JBC and was really wanting to win. But the kid that beat him has a good story and needed to win also. The kid that won with 14.75lbs had only prefished this lake the week before the tour. His dad has lukemia and got sick and was put in the hospital in the middle of the week and could not bring his son back. His mom brought him and they found a guy who had never even been on Lake Stillhouse to take him out the morning of the tour. As one of my friends said it is very very hard to beat good Karma. I am proud of my son he did his best. He has competed in 3 of State tour, he won the first one,3 place on the 2nd tour and now with a 2nd. Anyway Thanks to all who have helped us..
