Default Tomoka River 10/29/06

Got on the water at about 7:45am(new time lol). Fished till 5:00pm. Water temps ranged from 64 to 73. Caught approx 20 bass between me and my buddy(he caught the most, I caught the biggest ), plus a brazilian mudfish, 2 gar, and my first snook . I tried all types of lures today, started off cranking, and jerkbaits. Switched up to a spinnerbait tandem willow leaf, and a lil george. Nothing happening at all. We moved way up the river, and started getting some bites on Baby Paca Craw for me, with a 1/8 oz bullet pegged, and a Zoom trick worm for partner(junebug) weightless. He was catching all the bass, so I switched to a Kinami wieghtless, and still just mudfish. I finally gave in and started throwing the trick worm, and started catching some bass. I switched over to lizards in Junebug for the biggest bass of the day, just shy of 5lbs. We ended up with nine keepers total, 4 for me, 5 for him. He did catch a lot of smaller bass though. I also during the day would throw a gold spoon, and some DOA shrimp. Caught the Snook on the DOA with a popping bobber on the last cast of the day It was sunny all day, with air temps starting at 50 this am, and were 67 when I got back to the dock. Wind at times was probably 10-15 MPH, however we were out of it for most of the day. It was a fine day on the water.
