Did you know G. Howard Lund built his first aluminum duck boat in 1948? He built the boat for his own use and one day while driving the family car with the boat tied to the roof, a boat salesman took note and later arrived at Lund's doorstep and asked him to build a boat for him. The salesman worked for Inland Marine Corporation and put in an order for 50 boats, and Lund Boats was established.
