Elf on a shelf

Has anyone heard of this? My wife got one and has been updating me about it and I have been rolling with every phone call I make home. The jest of it is that the elf moves around the house and watching the kids and reporting to Santa. And the one thing is that if the kids touch it, it loses its magic and Santa will not come. How sad hahahahaha. My wife said they search the house every morning to see where he is hiding out and walking a pretty straight line. I just thought I would share this with y'all though. Not really any relevance other than to get a good laugh around the house.

I have several friends that have one for their kids and love it. As soon as the kids start acting up, they get reminded that the elf is watching, and straighten up immediately. There's even a Facebook friend of mine that's in her fifties, and her and her husband hide it from each other...no kids, just the two adults playing with a child's toy.

That thing freaks me out. I see it sitting on a mantle or shelf and i get the creeps.

Ok I read the website....Kinda cool..

Turns out theres a snake eyes elf!....I rather have him crawling around my house scaring the piss out my kids....Cause ninjas elves are totally sweet!

The girls got one this year. It freaks Madison out the first night she wanted to close her door because she didn't want it coming into her room. When we got home the next day he had fell over on his side and she wouldn't let me touch him.

Felicia told me that last night she heard Dylan, 7, talking to him. She said he was so serious and saying, Look Marty, I really like you, but please do not come in my room. I am only going in there to sleep and I can't do anything bad while I am in bed, so will you please stay out of my room.
