I bought a pack of the new Strike King 3X 10" Lizards (Iguana) the other day and tried them in a couple ponds I fish. On my 5th cast I caught a 5lber. I broke off another nice fish. I caught a small guy about 2lbs. Then hooked one and he came off. All from the bank and fishing for about 40 minutes at lunch time. I'm taking my boat out tomorrow and see if I can do some good on those big gals! The bait is HUGE but the fish WILL eat it!

I saw those used on a show they other day. They look to work pretty sweet. They were livid about casting as close to shore as possible so that the fish see the lizard come off the shore. Seems to be a great bait.

JB, I use the 10" power worms all the time. That is what I used to catch my PB.

I fish them with a 3/16 oz worm weight and a 5/0 Gammy EWG hook. I use the super line hooks though. I kinda hop it or pull it along the bottom a couple feet at a time. I found out yesterday that small catfish and Bowfin's will eat them too!

If ya talk to older guys that had their "hay day" bass fishing in the 80's,
many comment that the 10 purple worm or in black was the big bass ticket at Monroe....no one else seems to favor it around here at the many lakes that are around, it makes ya wonder watch forage(like snakes) that this 10 inch worm resembles....if any to the bass |

When the plastic starts to stick together as with the xxx baits, just spray your baits with Bang. It loosens the plastic. Been doing it for years.
