Here is some milfoil that was nearly ruined by a heavy storm that muddied the lake up bad in the area. This milfoil patch is usually my best jig fishing area, but it anit looking good.Notice the red tassel tops. That is when milfoil is producing alot of oxygen, dispite its unhealthy appearance. There should be fish here.P N J

Started flipping the grassmaster 3/4oz. jig /with Gene Larew salt craw for trailer.caught this within 15 feet from starting, even though the milfoil looks sick, it still holds fish,

There is a lot around here. I have yet to catch too many fish out of it though. Learned a new way to fish it tonight so those bass better look out next time I am on the water!

This is where the fish came from, notice the difference from the first piicture. Throw down wherever it looks different from the surrounding weeds and you will increase your percentage of bites per flip.

Ain't that the truth!
I usually have 20-30 torn soft plastics in the bottom of the boat after every trip.

I use Wave worm Bamboo sticks , or tiki sticks over the weeds, as well on overcast days. You have got to wait for the bright sunny days and tie a jig on and drop it in their home.Pay attention to when the bass hits the jig, that will allow you to change the jig /trailer type to key in on their preference of the day.As I said look for the red topped plants, even if another area has greener plants, but no red tops ,The red tops is producing more oxygen, therefore, most likely holding more fish in that area.
