I have a 76lbs evinrude trolling motor and for some reason there is a buzzing ticking sound coming from the foot petal. I first thought it was the sonar but now I am 100% positive this is coming from the foot petal. Does anyone know what this is and also how to fix this problem?

sounds like you may have a control module going bad.

Check the prop if you haven't already. I know people who had a rock under in between the prop and it messed up the motor. Check if it is to loose as well.
