I just upgraded from a 65lb MK to a 80lb MK TM with universal sonar. Got the TM home and found out that my old TM had a 3 prong plug. The new one has a 4 prong plug. My question is this: which should I change out, the plug or the receptacle. Is there a reason the 80lb U/S needs a 4 prong???
Any advice you can offer will be a big help. I don't want to change out the wrong thing and either fry my TM or degrade its capabilities. Thanks! |

Dont quote me but I do beleive that the 8-lb troller is a 36volt troller and needs a third battery.

Actually, it is the biggest MK TM that I could get and still stay with a 2 battery system. The plug has 12 - 24v DC stamped on it. This is the only thing I am sure of because I did not want to add another battery to my boat.

Thanks for the advice, all. I will contact Minn Kota, just to be on the safe side. I wouldn't want to burn up the motor before I get to test it out on the water.
