Got to do some more sight fishing today, this toad was laying under a mossy tree, got her on a zoom vibra craw...,It was about 80 out today and water is super clear, probably in mid 50s, ended up with about 10 that were all over 15 inches ...great day!

Very nice fat girl there. what's the water temps? Guessing you're a few more weeks away from spawn, but looking at that girl maybe sooner?

NICE fish there tubby....(just teasing, since you brought it up), seriously, thats a really nice one. The Ateam (bassintxlady,my g/f lisa, and myself) did some fishing yesterday too, and caught about 15 or more all together. Nothing as big as you got there, but it was a nice day here in houston, and there's no better way to top off an afternoon. Thanks for sharing your pics.....

That fish weighed in at 5 lb 6 oz on the digitals.
We went out today to Cassars Creek, one helluva nice and BIG lake, with more laydowns and timbers in the water than you can imagine... Yesterday I was guessing the water temps in the upper 50s, but after getting in the boat today the water temp was 52 at the dam, but soon raised up to upper 50's and once we made it to the other end of the lake the water temp was 64-69, still in 14 feet of water.. I got couple of keepers (15 inch limit lake) and one dink. Had one huge smallmouth next to a tree stump that looked over my xrap, but wouldn't take it, plus once it saw me you could forget about it biting,,it was about 3 lbs....nice day on the water tho with Denny! SUPER WINDY! all day, we ended up throwing spinnerbait and flipping. |
