Default Fishing Lake Norman In July---help!

I will be tournament fishing Lake Norman as a co-angler in July and have NO idea of the topo, water temp, type of bass, and baits to use. I'll be flying so I'll be limited on what I can take---THANKS for all suggestions/help/ideas.

well it kind depends on which area your are fishing.norman can be a finkicky bite lake. mostly spotted bass some largemouth. medium to deep diving crankbaits, favored plastic baits- water melon seed, green pumkin, june bug. you are looking at fishing 80+degree water temps a carolina rig using trick worms early and a french frys late.. norman is a huge body of water-often refured to as the dead sea- with no crap yahts over 100 feet long. it can and will be very rough after about 10 am.. i would definatly fish in the river at this time of year. it is a BIG river. holes in the 50-60 feet deep range.

bet on the day time temps to be above 95
