JB, next time PM me instead of holding up a huge "hey everyone, steal WTL's identity" sign!

Kevin, delete the above post when you see it. Apparently I'm past the time where I can modify it myself.

This fish measured 20.5 inches x 14 girth for 4.90 lbs per the calculator. I hope its not good enough to win, but Kevin said a while back the point of the competition was to get people posting pictures, so its a picture. I'll post a report later about the day, it was a pretty good trip to lake Guntersville. This fish and all my fish today came on a custom spinnerbait that I picked up around march and havent put down since. Sometimes you get on such a roll with a certain lure you wonder if you have too much confidence in it, or rather that you are becoming one dimensional. Oh well, the dimension worked today.

This fish had a 15 inch girth.

Smallmouth:

15 inches long

girth shouldv'e been about 11.5, but at where i measured it it was 10.

if girth counts as 11.5 it is 2.16 pounds. if 10, it is 1.88 pounds.

I'm pretty sure the bottom 2 pics is the same fish... not sure though

JB don't worry bout it, lol. We need to remember to blur out the important info when we do things like this.

Cranky is on the board with a smallie. Now I know what I gotta beat.

I'd wish you good luck but i want to win this, LOL. Nah just kidding, hook a big un and let us all see him. If you do, you pretty much have it bagged. I won't be in any smallie territory anytime soon.

Cranky, I might not be able to beat that. Its a good smallie. I havent fished for smallies that much this year, I'll be stopping by my big creek tommorow I think, and while I can garantee I'll catch some bronzebacks you never know the size you will get into.

I have learned a couple things from this one.....When you have a picture of a 20.25 inch smallmouth you caught from Canada, post it as soon as you get home, or you'll lose it....lol....but fortunately went down to Dale Hollow a few weeks ago and landed this decent smallie......I dont have a picture of the length and girth but she went 18 inches with a 13 inch girth

Oh yea, I caught her on a 5/16 oz baby boo jig (black) with a bluegill colored Yum muy twin tail grub as a trailer in about 15 feet of water on a main lake rock pile

yea zook, it's a pretty cool set up we use down there.....we've got one of those cool fold n troll type deals and we put like four rods out the back and drifted with live shiners trying to pick up walleyes, smallies, bit crappies or anything really. Then we went up from and threw artificials....So, we ended up having 6 rods out (the maximum allowed for the number of people on our boat) It was one of the first times we'd ever used it....worked pretty well....Will have to use it more often

there is no limit on rods in the water per man here..

i think it stays on one path, with no turning, so somewhat kinda preventing tangles.
