JB, I am going to ride up to Onieda lake tomorrow to watch the big boys weigh in. The local news has had good coverage of the tournament prefishing. They really does pack the people in from all over.I hope the food is good since I am riding with friends, most likely be staying longer than I care to.I will take my camera along so I can post some pictures. I understand LOL. I've just been marking the forums as read, as opposed to reading all of it like I used to

Yep, I figured you were getting a little tired of all the crap. Hopefully it will begin to clear out over the weekend.

You know at first being rather new here I thought, these guys hate newbies.
Then I started reading some of the recent posts about beef jerky..and "where would you fish if you could".. and...well it's very tedious.
I enjoy cracking wise and having fun, and learning on this forum.

and i suppose van damn and ikinelly wer born pro's?if some of you grumpy old farts would teach a rookie to fish there would eventually be more money in the sport and more places for you old farts to fish. of course most of you were grumpy young farts once too and were never rookies in a jon boat with a cane pole!maybe you guys need a "private" chat room! this is sarcasm, and not to be taken seriusely.... but it is food for thought! and i know how you guys love good food!

My cable has been down for a couple of days, so I have been out of pocket. What Tom is referring to is seeing the same question asked over and over. You only need ask a question once. I've anwered several questions with what I consider a good explanation only to see the same poster ask the same question again a couple of hours later. Not only does that get tedious, it makes me want to stop answering questions when it seems the posters pay absolutely no attention to what I tell them. I realize there are a lot of young fishermen just starting out on this site, so here is what I would recommend. Take my advice or not-it is your choice.

If you want to know how to do something, ask-but please, only once and then pay attention to what the answers are. No one here will steer you wrong when you ask a question unless you keep asking the same question over and over-then you might get a few wise*** answers.

Please use proper spelling and punctuation. It makes it so much easier to read and understand, and will give you more credibility-it will be seen as a serious question.

Finally if you want to know if something works, there is only one way to find out-go try it. Much of bass fishing is trial and error, but armed with the knowlege you can get here-and there is a LOT of experience and knowlege to be found-as well as your own experience can accelerate the learning curve.

That's my advice, for what it is worth.
