motor mount trolling motor
anyone used that motor mount trolling motor from Minn Kota? got a small pod that mojnts on either side of your big motor -supposed to come up ut of the water completely when you get up on plane...does it work? How is the power on those?

I have not tried one because a lot of the areas where I go are so shallow I have to tilt the big motor up. I think maybe they are better for trolling big water or on an I/O lower unit or something like that.

that's what I thought - but looks like a cool idea - I don't have to raise the big motor much

am with bender . round here they have them for drifting shad for stripers. would personaly not put one on a bass boat..

gotta have someone at the helm at all times to keep you going in rite direction. not good for bass boat but I can see it good for trolling.

a friend of mine has the three electric motor setup on his tritoon.he says it doesn't hinder the performance when running with the big motor.we have a lot of elecric only lakes here so he always has an advantage when he fishes tourneys on them.although he has been pulled over for using his big motor on electric only lakes,when actually he was only sitting in the drivers seat while using the electric motors.he always has to explain why he's going so fast compared to the other boats.
he carries 3 extra batteries just for those motors as it is a 36v setup.
