Suggestions needed

You have a small lake which is dropping about a 12" a week, very clear water, temp between 76-78 degrees, alot of flats with Hydrilla or duck weed. Locals have told me to go flip the hydrilla. I have with no luck. Locals say throw frogs to the duck weed. I have with no luck after 5 weekends in a row I have only caught 4 keepers. Sat I counted 29 boats in the grass which is a small area. I think the fish are pressured and I need to down size. Anyone have any ideas what to down size too? It appears the fish have moved out to the river channel and suspended. No one I talked to sun had any luck in the grass and was also having trouble.

I fish the exact same conditions an the only bait I've had any luck on is the rattle trap...I've tried flipping senkos on the edge of the hydrilla, but burning the rattletrap over the top of the vegation has better results, plus its been real slow here with high pressure bluebird skies, but that is going to change this week, with some fronts moving in.

i agree with jb. also try a strike king bleeding spinnerbait in white and red. seems to pull some great fish out of shallow weedy area's. good luck.

Got one on the manns minus one and also a white spinner bait last night, they wouldn't touch the rattle trap, ya may find them in a chasing mode tonight if ya get out..its a whoopin' 40 degrees here today

That's the problem we had at KY Lake during the ABA Nationals last week. There was just too much pressure on certain parts of the lake, especially shallow areas with lots of weeds. I ended up fishing areas that no one else would fish, such as main lake weeds that were close to deep water. That's how I found all of my fish and ended up winning the college division. When one person finds fish somewhere, everyone ends up fishing those spots and the fish get weary of seeing the same baits over and over again. Try techniques and areas that the bandwagon hasn't approached yet and you'll find success, probably more than the bandwagon guys.

Throw to the other side of the boat, with 4" Pulse worms, or even 4" dead ringers' I would c-rig those, and even c-rig a floating crankbait with that much pressure. Suspending jerkbaits with long pauses may work for you also.
