Lizards, yeah, it does seem to be that way. The big teethy ones always seem to hit when I am not prepared. I swear that they know that they will break my line and upset me. It is a fish conspiracy . . . .

I've caught my biggest 4 bass on the first x- rap they put out. Muddy, stained, clear, and all year long. No other jerkbait on the market can compare.

Haven't caught anything on the x-rap yet, but of course, I can wait to see what I catch.

Thanks for the info everyone. It sounds like my kid found me another winning lure! I'll find out how it works tomorrow when I use it for the first time....my favourite lake is now thawed out and ready for fishin!

As I am new to these types of lures: What type of line (ie braid, mono, flouro) works best with them? Also, is it better to tie the line directly to the lure or use a swivel/leader of some type? Thanks again guys, you are the best!

just tie it straight on one thing you may or may not want to do is take the tail feathers off i like um on personally some people like to take off the front treble and add a red trouble hook for the bass to target but if your gonna do that then ya its best to get rid of the feather
also try the smaller xraps i dont like the larger ones as much as i like the x08 models

Thanks flamez. I have the smaller one x08. Any tips on the type of line to use?

just about any line is fine honestly it really depends on what type of reel your using and what type of cover your gonna be fishing it in if any
i use 15lb mono but with the weight of the x08s it might be too much so 12lb mono should do the trick
