johnson vs. mercury
I have a 14ft ouachita v-hull and want a gas motor for it. 2 guys in my neighborhood have 15hps. One is mercury ($850.00) and the other is johnson ($500.00). Anybody got any knocks on either?

You would need to choose based on year model, and what you know about each motor. I'm assuming both are out of warranty at that price.
I had a 15HP Johnson for mine, as well as a 9.9 and a Merc 3.3, they were all good motors. |
