Default 07/07/07 hit the jackpot (report w/ pics)

Went fishing today with my brother and my dad. We got a late start today because my dad had to go to work in the morning, we got to the lake a about 10. After about 15 mins of fishing I hook into a big 7 lbser, this fish was my personal record. The very next cast I hooked in to an 8 lbs 1 oz PIG, my new personal record. Later that day my brother cast the lure in and got one 5 lbs 7oz his personal best. Later that day I hooked into a nice 5 lbs 13 oz largy. My dad only caught one dink. I also caught one more 3.5 lbser and a 2.5 lbser. My five fish total was 26 lbs 14 oz, I think I did pretty good today.

The 7

The 8

My brothers

Oregon does have decent bass. The great thing about it is that hardly anyone fishes for bass out here so there's not a lot of competition for them. The suck thing about it is hardly anyone fishes for bass out here so there is poor selection of baits, rods and reels. Any rod heavier than a medium is probably a steelhead/ salmon rod and any bait newer that 4 or 5 years hasn't made it out here yet.

Man is it really that cold that you gotta wear a hooded sweatshirt like that Nice fish, they all loook very healthy. Perhaps you learned a valuable lesson today. Big bass aren't always caught at low light conditions, most all of my biggest bass, came between, 11am, and 3pm.
