If you have an engine large enough, Minn Kota makes some TM motor heads that mount right on to the lower unit. Motor has to be fairly large though...
You have before you... The Minn Kota Ripdtide -- http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...atchall&N=3238 -Lunk-

Good job! I was wondering though... Is it rigged to turn along with the big motor; do you turn the large motor, and both shafts turn with it?

no the motors are only going to be used in lakes that are elec only...we have alot of them here in NJ.when i am on a lake where i can use the outboard the lotors will be removed.i made the wiring quick disconnects and two bolts hold the elec motors to the outboard. here is a link to a video of it.

No, I mean if you just steer the large motor (on/off), the TM heads turn with it, right?

Thats a good idea. So you can control the TM from the console while you're fighting that 10 pounder, right?!?

Excellant use of the ole noggin bud. I fished alot of those lectric only lakes when I libved in PA. Our club just picked them. Spruce Run I could never figure out why it was lectric only. To big ifn the wind picked up. Several others where the same way. LOL you shoulda seen the extra loads of batteries we carried to fish the tourneys on these lakes. Had enough battery power to run New York City for a coup[le hours. LOL
