Default Bad motorscooter

Looking to buy this Scooter. Thinking of this color.I like the scooter alot, its all metal, old school style, but slow as as a tin turtle.

I got an email today, they will ship it to me for another $400.00. I might have to drive to Brooklyn to pick it up, I hate the city though. http://www.brooklynbretta.com/html/nsstellaintro.php

This is the same as the old Piaggio Vespa P and PX models. The 2003-2005 Stella scooters was made in India. The workers went on strike and the scooter was discontinued for 2 years . Now finally they are back. They made some changes from the older Stella models, trying to solve some common complaints from the older models warranty work problems.I will be getting one, just not sure when.

JB, By any chance were they a Sears Allstate ? I had one years ago, I had a Corsair as well. Bella & Cushman are other scooter brands made back then, but they were the same Vespa frame spinoffs. Ivan

I call it a tin turtle, but it will easily run 55 mph and will top out above that.Anything above 55 mph on a 10 " tired scooter is a wild ride.Got a email of a new exhaust that is being tested and in the works of being made that will increase the Stella speed to 70 mph. That is an accident waiting to happen, but I will be bolting it on as soon as possible.Just cause it can, don't mean you have to be stupid enough to push it that fast. Ivan

yes ivan , some were from sears and we had a bigger one that was a montgomery wards 200, among many other brands, plus a few moto guzzi's.
our neighbor had a speed shop and had about 5-6 on hand back in the 60s

My wife ain't buying the reason for the scooter is because it gets right around 90 mpg at normal driving speeds. Maybe it will save money as gas prices are back on the rise. It will be a blast from the past at any rate.

This scoot here was clocked at 89 mph. Incredible for a small frame.

Hey C-Bird, I'm not sure how to send a personal message, but I really wanted you to know you had your own category on Jeopardy last night! I couldn't believe it when I saw it. All the correct answers were birds that began with 'c' . Sure enough one answer was crane. I enjoy what you post so much and especially the memorable tag. Just wanted to share.
