Default Field Tested Some Baits Today

Denny n me went outat 12 :30 today for an after noon of fishing,
according to INfisherman ,todays peak fishing time was 12-2, plus for the next four days great fishing , all in the afternoon.
We tied on some new lures to us, and they all worked great.
I ordered a handfull of bandit100 tenn shad and denny n me caught several apiece on them, nice lure huh zooker
Had a xRap on in perch and caught a few , all keepers but they fought like hell coming to the boat...
I thought i had big fish.
Also we kept testing the bigger swim baits, in blue gill color and landed about 4 fish in it, I was messing around talking to denny
with one bigger bass on the swimbait, it came off at the boat..it had shoulders broader than 3 inches , denny bout crapped lol

Many of the hits on the crankbaits for me came as soon as the lure hit the water.
Air temp was 60 water temp no is mid forty's.

Got a few more on the good ol tequila sunrise and grape Culrpit worms.
We also had some new chatterbaits in chartreuse and white split tail trailer,
and both of us got couple fish on that.

Felt nice to see spring has sprung~

Way to go, JB! I can't wait 'til the water starts to hit the high 40's. Hopefully I be able to catch one of these 'bass' organisms!

JB, you are relatively close to me in terms of climate. I got the skunk yesterday, and i threw topwaters at dusk, wacky works and spinnerbaits at all other times. sounds like you were hitting them on the crankbaits well. shoul I be using those too?

Hudson is nice and slow, let me tell you! Water is still around 40-45 F and the bite is few and far between. Muskies should be hittin' come late April-May.

UMMM, I got no idea how those twitch baits worked for ya? Have you tried them out yet? I've caught a ton on them so far, and the size of the fish is "USUALLY" bigger. However I still use them much more when snook fishing. Speaking of which just got some dinner today LOL. Took dad out, and I caught a 30" snook. That usually feeds 3 people 2 nights

JB,

The baits I sent you are suspending, not floating. They don't go real deep. However if you would prefer some topwater baits, then I could send some of those also. However the Spooks and Skitterwalk's are pretty much the same thing. BTW, sounds like a great day of bass fishing in Ohio.

Damn that's a beautiful bass. I don't think I have caught more than 5 bass on a deep crank in my lifetime... But it makes sense... wouldn't the fish be deeper in the cold?
Anyhow, I need to lock up this years development fishing trail... Lost last year because I missed 2 of the trips...
