as a stong believer in seaguar i have never used it. however i have heard it is a pretty good flourocarbon line that is just not quite as strong as seaguar and has a little more memory, but supposed to be a good line none the less.

I've fished with a few guys on the reservoirs who've had Vicious spooled on, and both hated it. It had way too much memory in their opinion compared to their favorite Mono or Flouo, and they both broke off way too much. Boy was I glad I had my braid with a leader spooled on instead.

Viscious is very strong line, but the diameter ratings are messed up. You get a line way thicker than others for the same pound test rating.

And it's got lots of memory(ies).

But it works either way.

I just bought spools of the Fluoro in 8, 10, and 12. I was happy since they come in 250 yard spools and I got 2 reels full. I filled up a Calcutta 100 for cranking and a Symetre 2500 for tubes. It was really windy on Saturday so I threw traps all day long on the cranking reel, the line was just fine, maybe a little stiff but otherwise great.

Now for the bad part, I decided to try to launch a tube and test out a new Loomis 7'4" tube rod, made for long casts. The tube went about 40 feet and the line was so bad it made a grinding noise going through the guides! I tied it to a tree and pulled out 100+ yards and stretched it really good and reeled it in with a lot of tension. Next cast same thing. Now I have to pull the line off, never had line that bad before.

Vicious has alot of memory. That's the only complaint I have, and that's probably the one major thing I look at when I buy new line. I have recently tried Izorline platinum and that stuff is great for the cost, but I'll never give up my Sufix. I've tried them all and I go back to Sufix every time.
