So, 790 + 5 years bass fishing and 15 years saltwater fishing for reds, snook, trout, and tarpon ---> that equals 810 years. We are getting close boys!

Great idea! I'm only 17 so I don't think my two to three years of experience really count as experience. I'm completley new to the forum and I am here to learn from you guys and make myself a better fisherman.

We've gotten quite a few new members lately and someone mentioned how much experience we have on the site, so I though I'd bring this thread back up.
If you haven't done so yet, add your years of fishing experience to the total of 1012 years. BB

Put me down for 52 years...that includes all live bait fishing, trout stream, salt water, and even a little carp fishing (eeeuww!!). If there's a hook on the end of the line, it's FISHING...right?
so 1208 + 52 = 1260 /

Amazing, guys! Keep it up. As soon as I saw it, I remembered that I started it. I hope we make it to 2000. Thanks for resurrecting this thread, BB!

Plenty of potential left
IB, after adding my years to the total, it got me to thinking. (Did I hear someone screaming "Oh NO! He's thinking again ?)
We have 1160 collective years of fishing already, but we have only heard from a portion of the total forum membership. Looking down through the members list, I find that we probably have between 2700 -- 3000 members who have posted at least once in one of these forums. That's about 35 -- 39% of the total registered membership. (I'm assuming that a lot of the registrants who have never posted may have visited this site once and never came back...maybe they were too busy fishing.) In any case, if each of the members who have posted have at least one year of actual fishing time, then we could have up to 3000 (give or take) years of fishing as yet unaccounted for. Interesting, to say the least. /
